Motorola i860 User Reviews
June 30, 2007
Here are what users are saying about the i860 for Nextel. We know that you don’t want to read 8,998 reviews about the model, so we will combine what users are saying most often into one page.
The Good Things Users Say About The i860
Users love the push to flip button. (The model has a button that will flip the phone open, when pushed) Quite a few users say they really missed the feature after switching to a new model.
Also, users have been commenting about the ability to personalize the phone. Most Nextels don’t have the ablility. You can make your own ringtones and so on.
For a Nextel, the model has a lot of storage. Nextel users have been saying that this is a plus, of course they’re probably just conditioned to having next to none.
The Camera. This is the first phone for Nextel that has one, so of course users are going to love it. It is a fun feature to add to your walkie-talkie/phone.
The bright screen has also been a big positive that many users have talked about.
The Bad Things Users Say About The i860 (And The Problems)
Battery life. Quite a few users in the forums are saying that the battery life of the model just isn’t very good. Most of them follow that up by saying that the battery life on their other phones was a lot better.
Many complain that the camera isn’t that great. Of course, there aren’t any other phones that have one!
The model also doesn’t have Bluetooth. Some other Nextel models do, so users who are complaining hit on this issue.
Net alerts. Quite a few users have been complaining about this. They are saying that after a few weeks the phone will no longer receive net alerts. One user complained that he tried 3 different i860s, and all three had the same problem.
When rating the model, most users give the phone a 7 or 8. (out of 10)
Moto Q q9 Features
June 30, 2007
Motorola has announced officially that the Q q9 does exist! We’ve been hearing about the possiblity of the next Q being built on the Scpl platform, and indeed it is. You can see in the image that it looks very much like the Scpl, but has a wider, rounder look.
The Q q9 is agressively thin. (11.8 mm) The original Q was slightly thinner, at 11.5 mm, but they’re almost identical in thickness. As you can see, the model has a full qwerty keyboard, which allows for faster writing of texts and emails.
Motorola has released on their site that the model is capable of downloading data at about 3.5 mb. I, however, believe that even though the phone is that fast, the service providers won’t be, at least in the United States. Regardless, the model with download data much more quickly than what most of us are used to. The model sports a technology known as HSDPA, which makes the phone’s network capability a lot better. You’ve probably heard people talk about 3G, or third generation technology, which the model sports.
The model is equipped with a large, 320×240 pixel screen. The screen sports TFT technology which uses thin film transistors to produce a brilliant display.
