How To Make Calls With The Samsung SCH-a990
July 23, 2007
The easiest method for making calls with the Samsung SCH-a990 is to simply dial the number and press ’send’. This method can be done any time the phone is on standby. If you’re using another application with the phone, you should press ‘end’ until you return to your home screen before dialing. The home screen should look like the image to the left of this paragraph.
As long as you can see the above screen, you will be able to dial a call by hand.
How Make Calls To Your Contacts
If you have already saved the contact information for friends or family, you can call them without dialing. While on the home screen, pressing the top-right key on your keypad will bring up a list of your contacts. You can use the up and down keys on the phone until you reach the name of the person you would like to call. Once you find and highlight the contact you want to call, you will simply press ’send’.
If the contact you would like to call has more than one phone number stored in your a990, instead of pressing ’send’, you will press ‘view’. You will then select the number you would like to call, and then press ’send’.

- Music you have downloaded or transferred to your pc.
- Sounds you have downloaded or recorded with your SCH-a990.
Note: Ringtones can’t be saved to the memory card of the model, but can to saved to the phone’s regular memory.
