How To Take Care Of The iPhone Battery
July 19, 2007
The iPhone uses a built-in, rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Since the battery can not be easily removed, it is highly important that the user takes care of it as best he/she can. With the right care and precaution, the iPhone battery should last for quite some time, although like any other rechargeable battery, may need to eventually be replaced.
If you keep the following things in mind, you will be able to make the iPhone battery last much longer than you would otherwise:
- Avoid heat like the plague. Lithium-Ion batteries can become very strained if they get too hot. This means never leave the iPhone in your vehicle and never leave it in the sun.
- Use the correct charger. If you lose your charger, make sure you get an original, Apple replacement.
- Don’t charge your iPhone in the car. Car chargers generally charge the battery more quickly, which leads to excess strain on the battery. Many of you will be tempted to buy an off-brand vehicle charger. Don’t do it unless you’re willing to buy a new battery eventually.
