iPhone Release PhotoThe iPhone is finally here! It was officially introduced June 29, 2007. The official release happened although there was much speculation that bugs would delay it.

The release of the iPhone was highly anticipated, in fact Apple claims that they received over one million requests for information about the iPhone previous to the official release.

The phone will be huge for AT&T, who has the exclusive rights to selling the Iphone for the next five years. Holy schmoly that’s a long time.

This is downright freaking awesome for the consumer - other carriers will have to get more competitive to avoid the mass defection to AT&T.

Prior to the release, AT&T (the former Cingular) made significant improvements to both the screen and the battery of the iPhone. Issues with the battery were believed to delay the release, but Apple fixed the issue in time to release late in June.
