Voice Changers For Cell Phones

December 27, 2007

You’re probably asking yourself, “Do voice changers for cell phones exist?” I can tell you that they certainly do. Now let’s assume that you want to go out and buy one. What does it do? How does it work?

How Voice Changers For Cell Phones Work

Ok they are basically a cell phone headset that has some increased functionality. You obviously aren’t going to screw up your cell phone to be able to make this work, so a headset is the easiest way to go about doing this. When you get a headset for cell phones, it also comes with a mic that you talk into. Voice changers for cell phones take the signal from the mic, and create a system for distorting it. This is normally very simple and involves placing an extra box on the cord of the microphone. Usually this box is quite small and isn’t easily noticed.

Most of the time with these devices, you can choose between quite a few different functionalities. You can make yourself sounds like a robot, or you can make yourself sound like a person of the opposite sex.

Applications For Cell Phones Voice Changers

There are tons of applications for this, but most involve deception. You want to talk to someone without their knowing who you are. Sometimes you may just want to play a prank. Some people do it for safety. They may have a stalker and are able to call without disclosing their identity.

Regardless of your application, you should be able to find one pretty easily. They’re all over the place. Hopefully this lesson has helped you to understand what you can and can not do with one of these, as well as the technology that makes them work properly.
