HTC’s Top Executive Throws In The Towel
October 1, 2007
Todd Achilles, the top HTC executive in the U.S., apparently called it quits. Neither HTC nor Achilles have commented on the reasoning behind the recent departure, which means that he did it because he’s either 1) a straight-up sissy or 2) he’s been recruited to work at Microsoft. He has been working in the Bellevue area so this option seems more likely.
Who knows, maybe he’s being recruited to help make Windows Mobile an OS that actually works on mobile phones.
Bell Releases The HTC 5800
September 1, 2007
Bell, a major service provider in Canada has announced that they will officially release the HTC 5800 - nicknamed the Libra.
The 5800 is a Windows Mobile 2006 smartphone that features a two megapixel camera stereo Bluetooth, and microSD. The model is being released with much anticipation as Verizon and Sprint haven’t been able to release the phone here in the U.S.
The model is being sold in Canada currently for about $150 with a three year service agreement. I still can’t believe that people will sign three year contracts. Wow.
