Free Cell Phones With Bad Credit

So what do you do if you want to get free cell phones with bad credit? If you have found this article, you have probably already been to the store and aren’t able to get cell phones. Getting denied because of credit problems can be super embarrassing and sucks on tons of different levels. Some of the time they will straight up tell you no, or they will make you pay more than you would have to pay if you had better credit.

Can You Really Get Free Cell Phones With Bad Credit?

Yes, you can get a free cell phone still but you may have to give your provider a security deposit. Here’s what the different companies will do:

Verizon will probably ask you for a $400 security deposit if you have bad credit. They will pay this back to you after about a year by giving your account a $400 credit. This means that you won’t have to pay your bill for a while. So, basically it will take you about $18 months before your phone becomes truly free. Oh yeah, and if you pay your bill late a single time the deal’s off. Verizon will keep your deposit.

Sprint handles this in about the same way, except their deposits are usually only about $125. They will usually cut you a check after a year if you pay all of your bills on time.

T-Mobile will charge you up to $500 for your deposit if you have bad credit. Again, it takes a year to get it back.

Overall, getting free cell phone with bad credit takes a lot of time - at least one year. Most people that have bad credit struggle to pay their bills on time and for this reason aren’t ever able to get a truly free cell phone. They will put down a $400 security deposit and then will lose it because of laziness. If you fall in this category make sure to pay your cell phone bill on time and that way, next time you won’t be looking for cell phones for bad credit.

Most of these companies are pretty cool in that once you have maintained a few years with a ‘cell phones bad credit’ plan, you build a sort of credit with them. You may have bad credit, but since you have proven to them that you can trust them, they will allow you to get a full credit line in the future.

There are lots of people struggling with bad credit and the numbers are increasing everyday with the bad economy. There is a site you can go to that may be able to help anyone that needs a boost. There is a section for cell phones that the carrier may hook you up with a free phone and put you on a plan with a national carrier. This is not prepaid phones mind you. This is actual plans with add-ons that you may purchase. The phones are a little limited at this point with the styles but the free ones are flip style phones with a camera. If you search the site more there is a lot of other info on bad credit and ways to help. I believe it is an excellent site to checkout!

If you have bad credit, you don’t have to pay a deposit with the new wireless company that’s partnered with Verizon. Go to NoDepositCellPhonePlans.com

I don’t know anyone (myself included) who has outstanding bills but also has $400-500 sitting around to use as collateral for a “free” cell phone. I’d like to suggest a pre-paid phone. They cost as little as $10 bucks at Walmart and there’s no credit check or contracts! I hate bills but love my Tracfone. I could never pay my Metro bill on time and they would shut it off till I paid it but still charge me for a full month’s service. My parents have a contract that came with a “free” phone but they pay $70 bucks a month for their service. It’s not really free when you have to pay more every month to use it. I only pa for the minutes i use with my pre-paid phone and that’s like $20 bucks every month or two. It may not be free, but it’s a much better deal in the long run.

At www.rmwireless.net you can get a cell phone for under $100 and it will come with a month of service and it’s No Credit Check, No Deposit, and No Contract. It runs off of the Verizon Network so you don’t have to worry about crappy reception like with pre-paid. Just wanted to let you know.

    Thanks,
    Rob

I also would like to say at www.rmwireless.net that there are plans that start at $29.99 a month, you get unlimited night and weekends starting at 7 instead of 9, and it’s a regular plan.
