How To Install A Memory Card In The Krzr
June 30, 2007
The question that was most commonly asked of us over the last week is, “How do I install a memory card in the Krzr?” A few people have been mad at us because we have said that the Krzr has a card-slot, and they believe that it doesn’t!
We promise that it really does, you just need to look a little harder! To install the memory card in the Krazr, you have to take the battery cover off. It would be wise to turn the phone off first. You don’t need to remove the battery as the card-slot is accessible with the battery in. Near the bottom of the phone you will see the open slot; there will be a little rubber stopper in there. The stopper is black on some models and white on some. You’ll see a little circle in the lower right area of the slot. That circle is the hinge for the little stopper.
You need to pull out the little rubber stopper. This is kind of hard to do because it seems like you’re going to break it. It won’t break! Just remember that it’s the top part that comes out. The little circle area is where it stays in. Once you have that stopper out, you can set the card in. The little metal contacts on the card should face the left and if you look closely at the left side you’ll see this.
Once you have set the card in, you can push the stopper back in. Replace the battery cover.
Once you have the card in, you need to turn the phone back on. If the card isn’t working, you need to go into the menu. You’ll then go to Settings & Tools -> Memory -> Card Memory -> Options -> Format.
After that, you’re all set!

when I go to memory-> card memory there is no options to choose. all that is there is usage, pic, videos, music and sounds. at the bottom the only choice is “ok”. is there any other way to access the memory card or do I have the thing in wrong??? Help!!
eeek!
same problem as jennifer above…
is there a limit to how much memory it can take?
I tried the same way, it works fine! A few things:
First, if you dont get the “options” that is a good thing! The phone recognizes the card and is currently formatted for use.
Next, in the tools menu, select “memory” again and change your “save options”. Change the system to save you Pics, Sounds, and videos to your card, therefore it won’t take up the space in your phone.
Lastly, remember: installing the microsd card is one thing, setting your phone to save things on it, is another. Hope this helps!
