Moto M900 Released For Homeland Securitiy

July 5, 2007

Moto M900Motorola has announced the availablity of the M900. The device was designed primarily for use in vehicles and has easy to install vehicle interfaces.

The model will be used primarily in service vehicles owned by homeland security, state, federal, and local governments, and emergency services and management agencies.

The M900 is designed the make it so that government agents and workers can stay connected while completing tasks.

The model has 2-watt amplification, which means that users will enjoy coverage extended well beyond the normal coverage area. From Motorola has given us, it is unclear whether the model will have to be docked in the vehicle interface to take advantage of the amplification.

The M900 also sports advanced voice recognition and dialing software. Users can make calls with a simple push of a button, announcing who they want to call, or the phone number they would like to reach.

It is unlikely that the model will hit one of the major carriers but should be available for purchase if you look hard enough. Since the model was launched by AT&T, users should be able to use it with their service, or T-Mobile if they have the phone unlocked.
