Transfer Files Using Bluetooth To And From The Motorola Razr2 V9m

September 24, 2007

Some of you may want to transfer files to and from the Razr2 v9m using Bluetooth. In order to do this properly, you must have a Bluetooth adapter for your computer, and you must also first pair (sync) your phone and computer. To sync your computer and phone using Bluetooth, you can follow these steps:

  • Put your computer’s Bluetooth device in ‘pairing’ mode. You’re going to have to look in your device’s owners manual to learn this step.
  • Open your phone’s menu by pressing the center key.
  • Scroll to ‘Settings and Tools’.
  • Select ‘Bluetooth Menu’.
  • Select ‘Add New Device’.
  • Your phone will then show the devices that are within range. You will find and scroll to the correct device.
  • Press the center button, which will ‘pair’ the device.

Once your computer and Razr2 Z9m are paired, you can use the following steps to transfer files:

  • On your computer, you need to locate the Bluetooth icon in your system tray. Usually this will be located in the lower right side of your screen. (This lesson doesn’t work for Macs. Sorry, buy a p.c. next time.)
  • Right click your mouse on the Bluetooth icon.
  • Select ‘Send a File’.
  • Click ‘browse’ and then look for your phone. You should be able to identify the phone by name.
  • Click the other ‘browse’ to locate the file you would like to send.
  • Accept the file on your phone by pressing the center key when prompted.

That’s it! If you would like to conserve power on your device, you may want to consider turning off Bluetooth at this point.
