How To Install/Remove The Battery - Samsung SCH-a990

Remove Cover a990

Installing and removing the battery of the Samsung SCH-a990 is quite easy once you are able to remove the back cover. To remove the back cover, you will slide the cover in the direction illustrated while pushing the cover down. Once the cover moves about a centimeter, you should be able to lift it off by lifting vertically.

Installing The Samsung SCH-a990 Battery

The battery will have an arrow on it. The arrow is placed on the top side, and the side with the arrow on it should be placed closest to the camera lens of the a990. That is the end that should be placed in first, and once you have placed that end in, you should set in the other end, while pressing the battery towards the camera lens.

You will then slide the cover back on until it snaps into place.

Removing The SCH-a990 Battery

In order to remove that battery you’ll first have to remove the cover, which is described in detail at the top of this page. Once the battery cover has been removed, you will lift the bottom end of the battery first, which will be the end that is farthest away from the camera lens. Once you have lifted that end, you should easily be able to slide it out.
