How To Turn The Samsung SCH-a990 On and Off
The Samsung a990 is really easy to turn on and off. If you look closely at the image directly to the left, you’ll see that we have circled the ‘end’ button, which is the button you will use to power the a990 on, and also to power it off.
In order to turn the model on, you simply press the ‘end’ button. The phone will take a few seconds to turn on and boot up, and then it will be fully functional.
The secret to turning the model off is that you have to hold down the button for two or more seconds. If you simply push the button it will simply end the call, assuming that you’re on one. You phone will power itself off and will remain that way until you power it back on.

I try to turn off blue tooth when not in use,but it does not shut off. I push button in front and try sides but still does not shut off. Can you tell me how to shut off bluetooth when not in use.

I have a Samsung phone, almost new but got some moisture damage. I can plug in the charger and it charges and while active all keys work fine, except, the on off red button. Without the charger plugged in, it is dead and I can not turn it on by pressing the on/off button or any other button. What causes this ??
