Here’s what users are saying in their reviews of the Motorola i880. We know that none of want to read a million reviews, so we have gathered a bunch of them, and will be combining them onto this one page. They will appear to be one review, but are a combination of many.
The Good Things Users Have Said About The i880
Large Bright Screen - I guess Nextel users aren’t used to this at all, because tons of them commented on how much they like the screen of this bad boy.
Digital Camera - Most users really seem to like the camera, which is 2.0 mega-pixels.
Service Reception - From reading what users say, it seems that this is one of the best Nextels, from a reception standpoint. I read where a few users said it’s the best receiving phone they ever owned.
Small Size - The phone has a pretty thin, small design. It’s about half the size of most Nextels.
The Push To Open Feature - A few of the i-series phones have this feature now, and users are loving it. A few users have said that they really missed having the feature after switching to different models.
Battery Life - Most users are extremely pleased with the battery life of the i880. One user did say that it was horrible, but probably 9 out of 10 say that it’s terrific. I think it’s safe to say that the battery life is solid.
Audio Features - Most users said in the their reviews that the audio features of the i880 are much better than the i860 and i870. The one sports Bluetooth and stereo speakers, and an upgraded music player.
Bad Things Users Say About The i880 In Their Reviews
Not many users complained about the model. Usually users would name of 10 or 11 things they liked about the phone, and would then follow up with one or two that they didn’t. Nevertheless, we’ll add here what they did say.
Design Materials - Some users felt that the outer shell was made of pretty cheap plastic.
Plastic Holster - Multiple users commented that they didn’t like that plastic holster that comes with the phone. Most said either that the phone falls out of it easily or that it seemed like their phone was going to fall out. I guess they don’t want their phones to hit the pavement!
Bulky Extended Life Battery - Some users who purchased the extended life battery were mad that it was a lot bigger than the standard one. They thought that it looked really funny on the phone.
Rubber That Covers The Charging Port - There is a small piece of rubber that covers the charging port. It has to be removed in order to charge the phone. Users say that it gets really annoying removing the rubber every time. Some of Motorola’s other models have it as well, and a lot of users complain about it.

Users love the push to flip button. (The model has a button that will flip the phone open, when pushed) Quite a few users say they really missed the feature after switching to a new model.
Also, users have been commenting about the ability to personalize the phone. Most Nextels don’t have the ablility. You can make your own ringtones and so on.
For a Nextel, the model has a lot of storage. Nextel users have been saying that this is a plus, of course they’re probably just conditioned to having next to none.
The Camera. This is the first phone for Nextel that has one, so of course users are going to love it. It is a fun feature to add to your walkie-talkie/phone.
The bright screen has also been a big positive that many users have talked about.
The Bad Things Users Say About The i860 (And The Problems)
Battery life. Quite a few users in the forums are saying that the battery life of the model just isn’t very good. Most of them follow that up by saying that the battery life on their other phones was a lot better.
Many complain that the camera isn’t that great. Of course, there aren’t any other phones that have one!
