Hilarious Snooze Alarm Clock Phone

October 5, 2007

Snooze Cell PhoneCell phones are just hilarious lately. First there was the Bluetooth necklace phone and now there’s the Snooze alarm clock phone. The idea behind the phone isn’t that it has an alarm clock. We’re not dumb enough to think that this is revolutionary.

The idea here is that it can be very difficult to figure out what time it is if you use your mobile phone as an alarm clock. I personally hate trying to find my phone, flip it open, and read the tiny numbers while I’m 87% asleep. This model has a large display on the bottom - which would be a lot easier to read.

This model is a simple concept phone, which means that it will probably never be sold. Who knows, maybe someone will pick up the idea and run with it.

Verizon Chooses LTE Technology For 4G - What?

October 1, 2007

Verizon has shocked the mobile phone-iverse by choosing to choose LTE (Long Term Evolution) for its 4G network. This makes absolutely no sense at all, is Verizon turning over a new leaf? How can they be choosing to use the same technology as Vodafone? We thought Verizon was going to consistently stick it to the commoners for at least 150 more years.

Apparently Vodafone and Verizon are both choosing to use the technology for 4G, standardizing two of the largest carriers in the world. For once, you may be able to travel while actually making calls with your handset.

Something has to happen to mess this up, doesn’t it?
